Last week we started discussing the Breitling Chronomat luxury watch and its new facelift. The new watch is called the Breitling Chronomat B01 and it introduces for the 1st time its own 100% in-house chronograph movement.

Design: Sophisticated and elegant the new Chronomat B01 has a sleek design that out rivals its counterparts. From the circle engraved numerals to the geometric design of the dial this watch pull out all the stops. Our favorite feature this Breitling luxury watch is the color play of metallic’s that offer unique character and design. The leather strap can add a trendy spin why the Pilot bracelet keeps things traditional… the options are endless. The Chronomat B01 is available in four versions including steel, steel with a gold bezel, steel with a two tone bezel, and all gold. Other features include diamond polished hands, square grid patterned zone, and quarter hour markers on the bezel.

Luxury: It wouldn’t be a luxury watch without luxurious beginnings. The Chronomat B01 was created by Breitling in the Breitling Chronmetrie workshops in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The watch has a COSC certificate. The COSC is a competitive chronometer certificate where only 5% of watches produced can lay claim.

The Chronomat gets a serious facelift from Breitling and we just can’t cover this new Breitling luxury watch all in one blog posts.  One of Breitling’s most loving watches goes under a serious operation and comes out of the operating room looking stunning.

We are talking about the new Breitling Chronomat B01 with a 100% in-house chronograph movement:

The Case: The case of the new Breitling Chronomat B01 has a elongated profile that molds the wearers wrist for a perfect fit. Aviation always being the theme, the unidirectional rotating bezel focuses on the need for flight and drive times by incorporating engraved numerals.

The Dial: The dial is stunning and the options are endless. You can get the dial in an hour marker or Roman numeral version.  The design mixes a number of colors and materials to not only enhance the appeal of the watch but to increase visibility.

The Guts: We call the motor the guts because without good guts… well the watch would be nothing.  The new Caliber B01 has some amazing features just like the older Breitling Chronomat luxury watches which can be traced all the way back to 1884.  The Chronometer-certified watch has gone through 15 days of testing to make sure it received the coveted COSC certification like all Breitling watches.  The result? 1,650 feet of water resistance, reliability, amazing precision.

We love this watch because the dial has a very unique hour window at the 12 o’clock marker.  A large Arabic number displays the date against a brown date window which matches the color of the brown leather bracelet.

If that wasn’t enough, this Breitling luxury watch has a jumping hour complication where the center dial indicates ten minutes and the hour is read through a window display that will jump at the change of the hour to the next hour.

Breitling for Bentley watches are not the only part of the partnerships. Bentley cars, such as the Bentley Continental series also carry Breitling clocks on their dashboards. As a result, a cult following of watch enthusiast has been searching high and low to get their hands on the Breitling for Bentley watches.  The new partnership is based on the craftsmanship of Bentley automobiles and the watch making talents of Breitling.

A perfect example of this partnership is the Breitling for Bentley Motors Men’s Automatic watch. This particular Breitling watch has a stainless steel case with green dial dad brown leather strap.
Additional specifications of this Breitling watch include a screwed down crown, bidirectional rotating bezel, silver chronograph sub dial functions, scratch resistant sapphire crystal, automatic chronometer movement, date calendar at the 3 o’clock marker, 46.5 mm case width, deployment buckle clasp, and a slide rule with computes airborne calculations such as fuel consumption, climbing times, and mileage conversions.

Breitling timekeeping is no stranger to Bentley cars, and vice versa. The two companies have already joined forces with the Breitling of Bentley watches, a very popular and luxury watch brand… soon after Breitling clocks started showing up in Bentley’s and the two brands have been making sweet music together ever since.

The new continental series of cars by Bentley is no different. The Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed four door and the Bentley Continental GT Coupe are both new to the Bentley Continental line. The Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed has a 750 Nm 6.0 engine, it goes from 0 to 100 in 4.8 seconds, and it can max out at 322 km/h.. at $400,000, it’s definitely a luxury.

Of course, the Breitling clock nestles between the two air vents above the GPS navigation system…

Luxury watch sellers are getting pretty creative lately, accroding to Retail Jeweller Magazine, Leicester jewellery retailer Lumbers has found a unique way to display thier Breilting watches.  A custom made display.

The display was created by Briley Manufacturing and its basically a 3 sided frame inside glass with graphics and backlighting.  Sounds simple, right? No… Birley Manufacturing, who has been provindg the retail industry with interior solutions for 133 years, says that it was the first job like it for its company and that the case was probably the most innovative display you will see.  According to them:

“The design and manufacturing process required for this project demonstrates the high degree of bespoke and specialist interior fittings which Birley can offer. The new display replaced a more traditional structure and was installed over a weekend.”
