Royalty is still alive today and Breitling has a front row seat in the castle.  I’m not talking about a video game, I’m talking about France and the second annual Cholmondeley Pageant of Power announced by LORD Cholmondeley to take place on July 18 - 19.

Before you raise an eyebrow think competition, fast boats, Breitling watches, fireworks, Bentley, and jets. Combine them together and you get the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power at the Cholmondeley Castle.  This event is packed with some spectacular visuals:

Bentley motors will have a large display area where they will display historic and modern cars.  This will include the 2003 Le Mans winning Speed 8.  Derek Bell will be piloting the vehicle around the Cholmondeley circuit.

Breitling will be there with the Breitling Jet team performing a close formation display along with other military and civilian helicopters.

Cholmondeley fireworks and a concert will be included for a great family outing as well as marching bands, military hardware, tanks, and much more.

However, everyone is looking forward to the inshore powerboats which will be competing in the Cholmondeley Championships…the winner will get the Breitling Trophy.

Here is a 1 minute highlight of the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power 2008

Breitling For Bentley Mark VI Complications 19

Breitling for Bentley watches all have an affluent meaning and historical relation to Bentley motors.  The Breitling for Bentley watch series of Mark VI watches tell a story dating all the way to 1946 when the Bentley Mark VI came out of production in Crewe as the first Bentley ever produced in those workshops.

Bentley Mark VI

Today, the Breitling for Bentley watch, Bentley Mark VI Complications 19 pays homage to that prodigy Bentley car.  The Bentley Mark VI Complications 19 has a chronograph mechanism and a calendar that recognizes day, date, month, and remarkably, moon phases.  It’s so proficient that the Bentley Mark VI Complications 19 needs no adjustments except on a leap year.

Little things on the Mark VI Complications 19 hint at the Mark VI release in 1946 including the grooves on the platinum bezel which represent Bentley control buttons, or dial colors based on Bentley cars, or even the shape of the push pieces which was motivated by the Mark VI.  The video below shows how the car looks cruising down the road.

Technical specifications for the movement of this Breitling for Bentley watch include a Breitling Calibre 19B, a chronometer certified by the COSC, mechanical self winding movement, 28,800 vibrations per hours, 39 jewels, and 1/4th second chronograph (30 minute and 12 hour totalizers).

The case of the Mark VI Complications 19 includes a choice of steel or platinum bezel. The Breitling for Bentley watch is also engineered with a screw-locked crown and glareproofed convex  sapphire crystal to increase water resistance (up to 100 meters).  The dials on this Breitling for Bentley watch comes in Peacock Blue, Silver Storm or Burnt Oak and the straps come in barenia leather, crocodile leather, or Breitling Speed bracelet.
